This was done for the fourth of July. I'm a little late in posting it here, but I got it on sketch club in time! Does that count?

Anway, I did this in honor of Independence Day. I was inspired by the idea of the mixing of cultures and nerdiness of course. Guess the reference.

I, myself, have dual citizenship-- American and German. I was born off base in a German hospital, but I was born to two American citizens, so thus I have both citizenship in Germany and America, and two birth certificates.

I chose colors for this piece to allude to different nationalities, more specifically American and German, since that's where I come from, but the idea applies in concept. America is supposed to be a blending of cultures. Whether it is successful or not is up to you to decide; however the mere idea that people are people and can be who they are without holding back is a beautiful notion. <3
